In 2020, I made the bold decision to return to my beloved red hair. It felt like coming home, and the joy and confidence it brought were unmatched. Embracing the vibrant red again was a journey of self-discovery and transformation.
In October 2020, I went all out for my birthday and dyed my hair baby pink. It was a whimsical, fairy-tale experience, despite my boyfriend’s disapproval. The pink added magic to my celebrations and reminded me of the joy of embracing change.

A month later, I switched back to darker red for easier maintenance. In January 2021, a planned dark pink turned into vibrant hot pink, which I ended up loving. In March, I tried teal-green for my sister’s wedding, but it wasn’t quite for me.
In April, after a breakup, I dyed my hair black and green. It was a cathartic transformation that helped me cope with my emotions. In November 2021, I cut my hair short and dyed it red, marking a fresh start on my journey of self-love.
For my sister’s second wedding, I dyed my hair vibrant purple. It was a milestone in my self-love journey, making me feel more like myself. In August 2022, I cut my hair short again and dyed it black, reflecting my turbulent feelings.
In January 2023, I dyed half my hair red and the other half black. The bold look was one of my favorites, bringing joy and confidence. When it faded, I returned to all red, embracing the fiery hue once more.

Since October last year, I’ve returned to black hair for its low maintenance and practicality. It helps me focus on hair health while still looking stylish.
If anything, this journey has taught me that I love dyeing my hair red. It’s part of my identity and reflects my bold, fearless spirit. And here’s a valuable lesson: if men get pissed off that you dye your hair different colors, then they’re not worth your time. Embrace your vibrant self, and don’t let anyone dull your sparkle. Your hair is your canvas – paint it with the colors that make you happy and let your true colors shine!
