little softer, a little brighter, a little more “okay, maybe I can do this.” And one of my favorite ways to find those little joys? My comfort shows. The ones I put on after a long day, the ones that make me laugh, the ones that pull me into a story so good I forget everything else for a minute.
So today I thought it’d be fun to list some shows I love and am currently watching!
🕵️♂️ The Mentalist

I remember watching this show forever ago, and diving back into it has been such a comfort. It’s a police drama, but with a twist Patrick Jane isn’t your typical detective. He used to pretend to be a psychic, and now he uses his insane observation skills to help solve cases. He’s been working with the California Bureau of Investigation for years, chasing the serial killer who murdered his wife and daughter. After the CBI gets shut down, he disappears to Mexico until the FBI tracks him down and pulls him back into crime‑solving… on his terms, of course.
And listen… I love Patrick Jane. He’s charming, funny, chaotic in the best way, and he brings this lightness to the show that makes it so easy to watch. He’s the perfect “I need something engaging but not soul‑crushing” character.
⚖️ The Lincoln Lawyer

I LOVE this show. Like, capital‑L love. I’ve been with it since day one and it just keeps getting better.
First off, the cast? Amazing. Second, Manuel Garcia‑Rulfo as Mickey Haller? Perfect. 🥵 And Neve Campbell the final girl herself just makes everything better.
The show follows Mickey, a lawyer who literally runs his practice out of the back of his Lincoln Town Car. He takes on cases all over Los Angeles, from tiny messes to huge scandals, and every season centers around one big case that pulls everyone into a swirl of drama, love, chaos, and courtroom intensity.
I’m currently watching the new season and they’re already working on season 5, which makes me so happy. It’s one of those shows that feels like a treat every time I put it on.
🎉 The Weekenders

Disney finally dropped all their old cartoons on Disney+, and I found one of my childhood favorites again! I used to be obsessed with this show as a kid, so seeing it pop up made me instantly happy.
It’s about four friends from Southern California who basically try to make every weekend the best weekend ever. The whole show only takes place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and there’s this running gag where the pizza place they always go to has a completely different theme every episode space one week, hospital the next and nobody ever acknowledges it. That kind of silly detail is exactly why I love older cartoons.
It’s the perfect “I want something casual and cozy” show.
💙 Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends

Another childhood classic! I adored this show growing up, and having it back thanks to Tubi’s collection of old Cartoon Network shows has been such a comfort.
It’s wacky, colorful, chaotic, and somehow still peaceful. The whole idea is that imaginary friends don’t disappear when kids outgrow them they end up at Foster’s, a big home where they wait to be reunited or adopted by new kids. The show is full of wild characters, sweet moments, and this underlying message about friendship and belonging that always hits me right in the heart.
It’s one of my go‑tos when I just want to relax and feel a little nostalgic.
Finding tiny joys doesn’t have to be complicated — sometimes it’s just putting on a show that makes you smile, laugh, or feel a little less alone. These are mine this month, and I hope they inspire you to find your own little happies too.
Okay byeee, love you, go drink water and do something gentle for yourself today 💗
