A few years ago, I wrote a What’s In My Bag post, and honestly… it feels wild to look back at that version of me. So I thought, why not do an updated one? It’s been a minute, and even though I’m still very much the same person (let’s be real), my bag has definitely leveled up.

✨ The Bag

Let’s start with the star of the show.

Steve Madden bags have always been on my wish list. Not my ultimate dream bag, but definitely up there. I’d been eyeing this one at Bealls for weeks a gorgeous mint‑green beauty but at $54, I kept telling myself, “Girl, no. Be responsible.”

Fast‑forward to me and Izzy wandering around the store, minding our business, when I spot the bag again… with a yellow tag. Clearance. My heart did a little flip.

It was marked down to $29, which already felt like a win. But then I went to check out, used a coupon, and suddenly this bag was $22. Twenty‑two dollars. I almost levitated.

It’s a bigger-sized mint green bag with a front pocket and three roomy pockets inside. Basically: organized‑girl heaven.

So… let’s dig in.

Front Pocket

This is my “grab and go” zone the things I reach for constantly:

• Hair tie
• Pens
• Tide pen
• Hand sanitizer

Simple, essential, and very me.

Pocket 1

This one is pretty chill:

• Sunglasses
• My real glasses
• My little case of eating utensils

Yes, I carry utensils. Yes, you never know when you’ll need a spoon or a straw. You’re welcome.

Pocket 2

The middle pocket the one that zips — aka the command center.

• A bag full of chargers and portable chargers
  • Because Izzy never charges her phone (love you, bestie)
  • And because I panic if my phone battery even thinks about dying
• My mini first aid kit
• My pill buddy with my meds and pain relievers
• Gum (because gum is life)

This pocket basically keeps me alive and functioning.

Pocket 3

My self‑care corner:

• Deodorant
• Body spray
• Extra hair ties
• A few other little “freshen up” things
• And my tiny notebook

The notebook is special Chloe got it for me years ago for my birthday, and it’s the perfect size to toss in any bag. It’s been with me through a lot.

🌙 A Look Back: 2017 vs. Now

Going back to my 2017 post feels like opening a time capsule from baby‑blogger Daisy. The energy was so different very “Hey guys! Subscribe! Follow me on Twitter! Fan Friday!!!” It was cute, chaotic, and full of early‑YouTube‑era enthusiasm.

Back then, my bag was a gray faux‑leather purse from Ross for $19.99. I kept:

• Pens, gum, earphones, lipstick
• A charger, deodorant, and… socks (because apparently I was ready to abandon shoes at any moment)
• An elephant pouch full of sticky notes
• My wallet, phone, planner, notebook, and whatever book I was reading

It was very “I’m figuring out adulthood and I need everything with me just in case.”

Now? The vibe is similar but more grown. More intentional. More “I know what I need and I’m not apologizing for it.”

The biggest differences:

• 2017 me carried socks.
• 2025 me carries a first aid kit, meds, and a whole charging station.
• 2017 me had sticky notes.
• 2025 me has a sentimental notebook from Chloe.
• 2017 me was all about planners and books.
• 2025 me is all about being prepared, comfortable, and taking care of myself.

But honestly? The core is the same. I still love a good deal, I still love a cute bag, and I still pack like someone who wants to be ready for anything.

It’s sweet seeing how much I’ve grown while still being… me.
